Regulations

Current environmental laws and regulations govern the practices for the proper disposition of used, empty, steel or plastic drums.  Under the Resource Recovery and Conservation Act and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, empty drums must be carefully managed by both drum users and reconditioners.

To ensure that all necessary measures are followed, we have prepare a "Drum Acceptance Policy".  We trust you will understand why both parties must comply fully with the regulations without exception.

Compliance with empty container regulations and established management practices for empty drums will allow the empty containers to become exempt from further regulation.  Please refer to the following regulations:

Code of Federal Regulations, 40 CFR 261.7
Code of Federal Regulations, 49 CFR 173.28
California Code of Regulations, 22 CCR 66261.7

Please feel free to visit the following site containing information on container environmental safety:  http://www.sd.fisc.navy.mil/environ/Library/memoconcon.html

We will make every effort to inform you of regulatory changes as they occur.  We sincerely appreciate your help and cooperation, and thank you for your business.
